Maybe no-one besides my handful of DW mutuals will fill this out but let's try having a friending meme like in the good old days.

Re: looking for mutuals!
Date: 2022-11-29 02:20 am (UTC)diamond painting is sort of like paint by number in the sense that you have a bunch of different colours that you place on top of symbols on a paper to make a picture. instead of paint, you have little plastic "diamonds," and instead of a paintbrush it's a pen-like tool with a little bit of wax on the end to make the diamonds stick to it. you pick up diamonds with the tool and then press them onto the adhesive paper. it looks like this!
i like diamond painting because it's something you can do with your hands while on the phone. i tend to do it during really dull zoom meetings if i can keep my camera off.. since meetings have been mostly in-person lately i've been diamond painting a lot less but i'm still slowly making my way through my current project for the sake of finishing it. i like to put them up on my walls when i'm done to show them off! they sparkle very beautifully under my led lights.

Thank you for sharing. They're very pretty. I hadn't seen this before, although I have seen many other grid-based crafts. (You could probably use any color-coded grid, as for beadwork or cross-stitch.) The closest I've seen is the rhinestones either ironed on or punch-fastened to fabric for making pictures.
I'll have to watch for this on your blog.
