Twitter Exodus Friending Meme

Maybe no-one besides my handful of DW mutuals will fill this out but let's try having a friending meme like in the good old days.

Comment with this form filled out, read other people's comments, chat, and friend each other :D

Ooo, I'm a tarot and oracle deck lover (although I don't do readings nearly enough). Do you use any decks in particular?

Oooh, I hadn't come across a lot of those decks, they're so lovely. Definitely understand not being able to get indie decks, although it's probably worse for you. Many times, I've had to consider the potential extra cost of shipping and customs fees from the US on top of the (fair) expense that indie decks usually are.

The Fyodor Pavlov Tarot, though, I've definitely had my eyes on! *_* I love his art style a lot.

The structure of tarot is one of the coolest things about it - and well-established oracle systems, I suppose, like Lenormand, but I only have one Lenormand deck and I haven't used it yet. Sometimes I find the symbology of my oracle decks easier to grasp intuitively, depending, but tarot is good for more complicated things.

Yes, it's lovely! I'm glad there's a mass market version because it would've been inaccessible to me otherwise.

I haven't worked with Lenormand either. I have a deck and a book. And I keep meaning to learn... I'll get to it someday xD

The symbology of tarot is so exciting, too. Like, the visual metaphors are dramatic in a way Lenormand isn't.

I like oracle decks better for daily draws instead of drawing for a question. They work well for loose journalling inspiration. Or as clarifiers! Some of them combine well with tarot to elucidate meanings.

That's exactly it! And the intended structure of Lenormand readings is so different, since I get the impression that the usual reading style is almost as a literal sentence, whereas tarot is a lot more free-flowing even if you're following the guidebook religiously. Some of my oracle decks lean more Lenormand in simplicity, and some are more like tarot.

Oh, hello! I am a tarot/oracle person as well and also do the original fiction thing. Fairytales and myths are always tasty too.
